Experience a taste journey of unforgettable flavours! The restaurant is named to commemorate the historic date 1707, when the estate was liberated from the original governor’s estate, Vergelegen, after the sanctimonious demise of Willem Adrian van der Stel.
Seventeen07 celebrates the rich cultural impact of the original Dutch settlers, who established their settlements in the southern tip of Africa to supply their ships on the Spice Route to the Orient. To honour this rich history, we are re-defining our flagship restaurant as a tribute to the spices that formed and influenced our local cuisine. The dining experience includes dishes from Africa and the East including Madagascar, Zanzibar, India and Malaysia.
