ERINVALE was the first golf and housing estate built in the Cape Town region. The course lies in the foothills of the Hottentots Holland mountains above Somerset West, with sweeping views down to the valley and False Bay. Its’ a great course where the first nine holes run along the flat and the second nine leapfrogs up and through the foothills as on first climbs, and then descends the mountain slopes. The course was design by Gary Player and is ranked at 22 in the top 100 Golf Digest courses in SA. Erinvale is a championship course. It hosted the 1996 World Cup of Golf and the SA Open has also been played here.
